Penn Medicine is the brand for all University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS) health care entities in addition to the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM).

UPHS is a comprehensive health system that includes inpatient and outpatient care facilities at numerous campuses/locations across the region. These entities include Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), Chester County Hospital (CCH), Clinical Care Associates (CCA), Penn Home Care/Hospice Services (HCHS), Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) as well as UPHS Corporate Shared Services (CORP).

Will we be required to hire only BSNs?

UPHS does not currently have a policy that requires all nurses to have a BSN degree. However, UPHS Magnet-designated hospitals generally hire only nurses with
a BSN degree or higher. Nurses without a BSN degree at all UPHS entities are provided opportunities to complete their BSN degree through tuition assistance.
